Today, HPE announces HPE OneView 6.0, adding new enhanced capabilities to its already popular IT infrastructure management software. HPE OneView enables customers to automate IT operations and simplify infrastructure lifecycle management across compute, storage, and networking.

HPE OneView 6.0 Update

In this release, new capabilities provide even more ease of use and time saving capabilities for IT administrators in key areas like support, updates, provisioning, and monitoring.

Enhanced support experience

  • Save time on cClass System board replacement with an all new improved replacement process
  • Appliance displays the last time the appliance was rebooted, and the elapsed time since the last reboot
  • Appliance detail report includes active alerts, iLO addresses, enclosure and server inventory, server profile inventory, and HPE OneView update history

Faster Appliance Updates

  • Image-based update delivers faster and more reliable updates—removing the potential risk of failure involved in updating individual components on an image in each release
  • Up to 45% decrease in update time when comparing the time-to-update of HPE OneView 6.0 versus the time-to-update of HPE OneView 5.4

Simplified Provisioning Management

  • A single storage volume can now be managed by two different HPE OneView instances
  • Networking quality of service (QoS) improvements provide simplified QoS without any configuration types—resulting in easier technology integration and removing unnecessary complexity
  • Servers can now be configured to synchronize time with external network time protocol (NTP) servers
  • Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) using DHCP enables customers to deploy the HPE Synergy Composer2 without being in the datacenter
  • HPE iLO Management Log (IML) alerts have been removed in HPE OneView to reduce excessive communication in the HPE OneView Activity Center

Improved Monitoring and Reports

  • Two new reports for HPE Superdome Flex, display a chassis and server inventory
  • New HPE Superdome Flex I/O Port details
  • Customize the ‘From’ field in the alert email notifications—streamlining infrastructure health monitoring to match their business processes

HPE OneView is a software-defined infrastructure management solution that takes a programmatic approach to managing infrastructure with efficient workflow automation, modern dashboard, and comprehensive partner ecosystem. These latest enhancements further enable HPE OneView to transform your HPE servers, storage, and networking into software-defined infrastructure to eliminate complex manual processes, spur IT collaboration, and increase the speed and flexibility of IT service delivery.

HPE OneView Global Dashboard 2.3 Update

Do you have infrastructure that spans across different HPE platforms, data centers, or even countries? HPE OneView Global Dashboard enables you to quickly identify and resolve hardware issues and minimize infrastructure downtown—allowing you to manage up to 75 HPE OneView or HPE Synergy instances, and 20,000 servers across data centers, at no additional cost to HPE OneView customers. It helps your IT staff troubleshoot alerts and view core inventory data from one place and make more informed, faster decisions with better infrastructure visibility.

In this release, we are making enhancements to HPE OneView Global Dashboard to further enhance users’ device-level lifecycle management experience. Enhancements to HPE OneView Global Dashboard 2.3 include:
