ProLiant DL325 Gen10 Server: IT PRO Editor’s Choice Award with 5-star rating

The HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 has a versatile design providing better performance/price than typically available in a single-processor server. Months after its introduction, it is already garnering industry recognition. Among the first accolades is the desirable IT PRO Editor’s Choice Award and 5-star rating. Here are good reasons why this recognition was earned.

Does your business need a dense platform with built-in security and flexibility to address key applications such as virtualization and software-defined storage (SDS)?  The recently announced HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 Server , an extension of HPE’s world’s most secure-industry standard servers(1) product family, offers an exceptional balance of processor, memory, and I/O for virtualization and data intensive workloads. As a result of our innovative design, featuring AMD EPYC processors with built-in security and management features, the HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 was recently given a 5-star rating by IT PRO.

“With AMD's EPYC in the driving seat, the ProLiant DL325 Gen10 delivers a high core count and memory capacity that'll give more costly 2P rack servers a good run for their money. It offers an impressive range of storage options including a full house of high-performance PCIe NVMe SSDs, its iLO5 controller offers great remote management and platform security features, and for a 32-core system, the server on review looks top value.” – Dave Mitchell, IT PRO

Innovative design leveraging the AMD infrastructure

By utilizing the AMD EPYC processors, the HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 delivers 25% better price/performance(2) and 27% lower cost per VM(3). It has a dense chassis that accommodates up to 10 SFF, up to 4 LFF or up to 10 NVMe drive options, along with support for up to 3 PCle 3.0 slots. It also sets the bar for single-socket virtualization performance leadership with SPECvirt_sc2013 score of 1500@ 84VMs. Up to ten low latency NVMe drives can deliver software-defined storage (SDS) and high-performance storage applications. Plus, new 64 GB RDIMM based on 16GB technology provides better performance and higher power efficiency.

Gen10 innovations in infrastructure security

Your servers should be armed with the latest innovations to safeguard against and recover from cyberattacks. HPE offers this industry-standard server with security protection built in across the server lifecycle. With the ProLiant DL325 Gen10, you can defend your enterprise with innovations in firmware protection, malware detection, and firmware recovery—right down to the silicon. Our unique Silicon Root of Trust provides unsurpassed protection by creating a digital fingerprint in the silicon that ensures the server will never boot with compromised firmware. With the HPE Secure Compute Lifecycle, you also have a new security foundation to protect against malicious threats that target server firmware, resulting in denial of service and data loss. And with the optional HPE iLO Advanced Premium Security Edition, the server’s firmware is checked every 24 hours to verify code validity and the of credibility of essential system firmware.

Additional protection is available with the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to avoid unauthorized access to the server and store artifacts used to authenticate server platforms. For further protection, an additional Intrusion Detection Kit logs and alerts when the server hood is removed.
