Hewlett Packard Enterprise introduces purpose-built, managed hybrid server for SMBs

Guest blog written by Minal Santhosh, Senior Manager for Small and Midsize Business Solutions, HPE Servers

Small businesses, like their larger counterparts, aspire to be successful.  They continually strive to deliver products and/or services faster, increase operational efficiencies, grow revenue, and increase margin. Many of these businesses are seeking ways to access data anytime, anywhere, inexpensively while still having full control and security of their critical information.

HPE understands this opportunity to deliver a solution that provides the economics of cloud IT that small businesses desire while meeting their performance, security and reliability expectation that can only be met with on-premise infrastructure. HPE is investing in innovations to assist small businesses on their unique journey – the way they want to consume…the way they want to transform…the outcomes they want…the support they need, when and where they need it.

Today HPE announces a hybrid IT offering that is a true game changer for the small business and education institutions. The HPE ProLiant Easy Connect family of solutions is a revolutionary, purpose-built offering, combining the best of on premise and cloud IT, in a distinctive design with preloaded software for simple deployment.  The ProLiant EC200a managed hybrid server, the first member of the ProLiant Easy Connect portfolio, provides small business, and education institutions with a server for the cloud era, delivering all the IT needs in one simple, unique design, with the flexibility to grow their business. Delivered as a managed service the solution is managed and updated via the cloud, delivering advanced capabilities without complexity, at an affordable monthly subscription fee.

“Small businesses want to focus on their success, not spending their limited resources on deploying and managing IT,” said McLeod Glass, vice president and general manager, SMB solutions and tower servers, HPE. “This new solution is part of a broad HPE initiative, inspired by the unique needs of small and mid-sized businesses, to deliver innovative solutions that are easy for our channel partners to sell and easy for our customers to use.”

HPE has been busy bringing many new technologies to small and midsize businesses this year. Building upon a strong foundation of modular and versatile ProLiant Rack and Tower Portfolio, HPE is delivering new solutions and technologies, and options, increasing performance, security, and control that support the customer’s compute journey. We continue to introduce new HPE Flex solutions, addressing the business outcomes small and midsize businesses desire.  Existing solutions are in the midst of updates based on the latest innovations available. HPE recently announced the ProLiant ML10 server, a server with low acquisition cost, and optimized compute with built-in reliability and agile management to run a small network environment in a standalone tower configuration.

Whether a small or midsize business, the HPE ProLiant portfolio can deliver the just right IT blend of power and performance at a lower TCO to enable workplace productivity and help businesses transform to a hybrid infrastructure, getting their business where it needs to go – fast!

With today’s announcements, we believe we’re offering a game changer that can help organizations to move to their first managed hybrid server. If you’d like to learn more about how we can help you be successful, learn more about EC200a here.
