New HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen10: Ideal Performance for Digital Disruption

To keep pace with digital disruption, companies are transforming rapidly. To keep up, IT needs a hybrid infrastructure that quickly turns new technologies into value. Find out how HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen10 Servers can help.

Blog_DL580_Digital.jpgThe continuing evolution of digital disruption and your ability to harness Big Data, not to mention mobility, the Internet of Things, and cloud technologies, are enabling companies to transform their businesses like never before. What makes all these technologies run efficiently are applications and data—and that means IT plays a critical role in business innovation.

Your IT team must operate at the speed of your business in order to succeed. Employees need IT that can accelerate the transformation of new ideas, products, and services into value for customers. Implementing scalable agile technologies will keep your business one step ahead of your competitors.

Why you need hybrid IT

For your IT team to operate at the speed of business, they need an IT infrastructure that delivers the right balance of on-premises and cloud services. This makes it possible to deploy applications on a continuous basis and allow end users to draw insights from data and make decisions in real time.

To define just the right mix of services across on-premises IT data centers and cloud environments (both private and public), a new hybrid IT compute experience is required. The recently-announced HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen10 Servers deliver on this objective while simplifying hybrid IT.

By providing the IT agility of a modernized converged infrastructure, HPE ProLiant servers provide a better way to deliver business results. Featuring a software-defined infrastructure that delivers intelligent automation, ProLiant DL580 Gen10 servers reduce operational complexity for traditional applications while increasing the velocity of new applications.

The key server capabilities for business-critical applications

HPE Gen10 technology offers resilient, highly expandable scale-up servers that achieve several key capabilities to optimize workloads for business-critical applications:DL580.jpg

  • Memory Speed: Supports as many as 48 DIMM slots with a speed of 2666 megatransfers per second
  • Persistent Memory: Up to 24 16GB non-volatile (NVDIMM), dual-inline memory modules for a 384 GB max
  • I/O Support: Up to 16 PCIe 3.0 slots
  • Expandable Storage: Support for up to 48 SFF SAS/SATA/SSDs with a maximum of 20 NVMe SSDs

ProLiant DL580 Gen10 servers also feature HPE iLO5 for agile infrastructure management and serviceability. Other key components include HPE Intelligent System Tuning, which reduces latency through jitter smoothing, workload matching, and core boosting; and persistent non-volatile memory, offering the speed of memory with the persistence of storage.

A better way to protect your business

In addition to making IT teams more agile in delivering new services to employees, customers, and business partners, HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen10 servers enhance data protection with an infrastructure that has security designed in from the start.
