Spring 2019 updates to the HPE ConvergedSystem 750 include additional Synergy composability with VMware software to enable and enhance your experience on your journey to hybrid cloud.CS750 Spring 2019 - Blog-2_Fig 1.jpg

HPE ConvergedSystems 750 delivers a scalable, composable, highly available converged infrastructure platform designed to address the myriad of business requirements, workloads, and applications required by our customers. The HPE ConvergedSystems 750 incorporates a wide range of technologies including HPE Synergy Composable Infrastructure (with the HPE Synergy Image Streamer option), multiple storage options (e.g. 3PAR StoreServ, HPE Nimble, and/or D3940 with support for VMware vSAN), multiple switch vendors (e.g. Arista, HPE, or Cisco), storage networking, Rack & Power options, and a validated VMware vSphere-based software stack with vRealize Operations Manager. Customers can leverage this foundation to reliably deploy and configure a wide variety of IT tasks and workloads.

The Spring 2019 update to the HPE ConvergedSystems 750 has added the following capabilities:

  • Support for Intel Xeon Scalable Cascade Lake Processors
  • Four (4) Socket compute with the HPE Synergy 660 Gen10 Compute Modules
  • Upgraded HPE Software and Firmware stack to include:
    1. HPE OneView 4.20
    2. VMware vSphere 6.7u1
    3. HPE Integrated Smart Update Tools to enable staging and online updates of VMware vSphere hosts.
    4. Enablement and support of the latest HPE iLO5 security features
    5. HPE Recovery Manager Central support for Nimble (in addition to existing 3PAR support)
    6. Windows Server 2016 for management and troubleshooting VMs.
  • Support for new HPE OneView Composability features such as
    1. HPE OneView provisioning support for iSCSI based HPE Nimble Storage
    2. Additional boot options include USB/SD and HPE Nimble iSCSI
    3. HPE OneView Hypervisor Cluster profiles for all compute hosts allowing the ability to deploy and/or manage vCenter clusters with from within HPE OneView.
