About Package behavior when network trouble occured

Hello,

I want to know the Package behavior when network trouble occured.

DL380G5 x1
RHEL ES4 Update5
SGLX 11.16

Single Node Cluster

- Package
уГ╗monitoring subnet

- Quetion
уГ╗Case 1
The LAN I/F (Package Monitor) has Relocatable IPs.

When the LAN I/F down, Does Package stop?

Single node cluster.

1) Yes, it stops, where can it go. It has a floating ip address, no network and therefore can't run.

2) Depends how its written. Generally, yes, it will go down, because there is nothing to monitor any more.

If there is a subnet configured into the package configuration file, this means you are monitoring the subnet fo rthat package. If the subnet goes down, irrespective of whether it uses a floating ip or not, the package will halt.
