Are you talking forward or backward?

I assume you are not just changing the timezone?  Do you have NTP installed?

Hi Dennis,

what's the differences?

My customer hasn't mention this.

There may not be but setting the clock back is always worse.

How big of a time change are you looking to make? Seconds? Minutes? Hours? Days?

Is there a database running?  If so changing the time can cause issues with the database as transaction times have the potential to suddenly not match.

Chaning the time backwards can really cause DB issues as the time is suddenly in the past.
