you set the parameter
MAX_CONFIGURED_PACKAGES in your cluster ascii configuration file. If you need to increase, must *halt* the cluster....
(don't know if there is a theoretical limit of 128 packages or so, but I guess that is not your question)

18. SG supports only 60 packages. With this patch it now supports 150 packages. After installing this patch on all nodes in the cluster, the cluster must be brought down in order to increase the MAX_CONFIGURED_PACKAGES parameter in the cluster ascii file.

Like the others mentioned you can configure 60 to 150 packages on 11.14 depending on the patch level. You keep in mind that MC/SG will reserve some memory for each package you can create so if you only need 10 and you configure the max on 150 you waste some memory.
