Disable a node in a cluster

What is the BEST way to disable HA on a two node cluster for upgrade purposes? we are doing an EPIC upgrade and they want us to disable HA for the upgrade. HP-UX 11Vi3 two node cluster.

First, halt any packages running on the node you want to disable. Either restart those packages on other node(s), or leave them halted, whichever is more appropriate to you.

 

Then, run "cmhaltnode" on the node you want to disable.

 

Then edit the /etc/rc.config.d/cmcluster file: it contains a variable named  AUTOSTART_CMCLD that determines whether or not the node will attempt to rejoin the cluster at boot time. Change it to AUTOSTART_CMCLD=0 for the duration of the upgrade.
