MetroCluster support of EMC Symmetrix VMAX array

Hello,
I only see Enginuity 5874 as EMC Symmetrix VMAX ucode supported for HP MetroCluster on SRDF.
EMC released ucode 5875 in February for their VMAX arrays.
Any idea when this ucode will be supported and if already, could you point the matrix.pdf file that shows it?
Thanks in advance.

Re: MetroCluster support of EMC Symmetrix VMAX array

According to the Release Notes of the latest version of MetroCluster, available here:

http://www.hp.com/go/hpux-SG-Metrocluster-SRDF-docs

... the information on supported EMC ucode versions would be in document titled "Serviceguard Disaster Recovery Products Compatibility and Feature Matrix (Metrocluster with EMC SRDF)". Only one version of that document is available on the above-mentioned page:

http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02480174/c02480174.pdf

This matrix is dated October 2010, so there is no way it could hold any information on firmware published in February 2011.

I would have to conclude that even if HP has been testing the compatibility of the newest VMAX ucode, the results aren't published yet.

There is a chance some HP people reading this forum may have done some testing with EMC pre-releases or even with the released version, but I would expect these people might be restricted by NDAs until the new support matrix is officially published.

If you need the information ASAP, you might have better luck opening a MetroCluster support call to HP and requesting the information that way.

Many Thanks Matti, I'll indeed get a ticket placed with HP Support to get their statement on this validatio of microcode 5875.
Best regards,

Romaric.
