Metrocluster package configuration issue

Hi Gurus,

Iam configuring a metrocluster package using Service guard version 11.19 in 11.31 servers [2 nodes]

Actually Iam having a virtual hpux system say vmhpux in my server [base OS is 11.31]

I need to make it as cluster package which should fail over while the halting is happening in the primary node.

Iam using a script for crating the package :

/opt/cmcluster/toolkit/hpvm/hpvmsg_package -P vmhpux

but its giving errors:

many errors !!
So Could you pls tell me what are the primary requirements that I need to setup in server [as well as in vm ] to proceed with the script?

for eg. 1. Server_id ==> should bedifferent for all nodes in cluster

2. Server group uuid ==> shoud be different in all nodes of the cluster.
3. Server group name ==> should be same for all Physical nodes in the cluster.

4. Server_uuid ==> should be different for all Physical nodes.

Is there any more points i left to start my actvity?

Your quick reply is much appreciated.

Thnks and rgds Sree

Take a look at this manual:

My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!
