Missing info in Release Notes - pindentd will not install

The release notes are missing a step affecting the installation process. When installing pidentd for Serviceguard for Linux A.11.16 on a RedHat EL 3 system, "authd" needs to be uninstalled. To do this execute the following command before installing pidentd.

rpm -e authd

How about a link to the revised version of the install notes.

We will not have new release notes until we release our RedHat 4 support.

Then I'm talking to the right person.

There have been several threads inquiring as to the timetable for RH 4 support.

My response is that there will be thorough testing. Any rough timetables?

No pts please.

Yes - you are talking to the right person.

HP has a policy of not releasing dates, especially through a forum such as this. If you work with a HP sales person, ask him/her to contact the Serviceguard for Linux team to get an estimated timeframe.

I will say that we have started working on it. We do, occassionally, find problems with new distros that slow things downs. Keep your fingers crossed :)
