Hi all
I have 3 systems, 2 running ServiceGuard, all have same users (UID,GUD) etc, also running TCB.
This to me seems ideal for NIS to be implemented - but are there any factors I need to consider due the SG ??
What if one of the node is down ??
Thanks for any thoughts
Steve

Solution
Steve:
Document #UXSGKBAN00000227 notes that password synchronization can be accomplished by the user manually updating each host, by the use of scripts to automate the process,
or by using NIS.
It is recommended that NIS servers be located on different clusters to prevent a single-point of failure.
