Hi to all,
I would be happy to know if this configuration is possible and supported by HP and RedHat.
2x Hp proliant DL385
1x MSA500 G2
Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 Upd 4
Serviceguard for Linux
Lock Lun functionality on the shared storage( to manage the heartbeat failure )
Another question is: what kind of heartbeat channel are available in Serviceguard for Linux ?
I know about Ethernet ( bonded or bridged eventually ), and a "Membership Link" ( referred on this site http://www.docs.hp.com/en/B3936-90070/ch01s02.html on figure 1.3 ). What is "Membership Link" ? An heartbeat channel which goes through SCSI ?

i think the hardware is compatible with OS, Red had and HP work togheter.

To directly answer your question a membership link is a heartbeat. It can go through a lan cable.
Related is the lock disk, which on two node clusters is a shared disk. In the event the cluster thinks both nodes are active, eg. the membership link is broken, both nodes race for control of the disk. The system that gains control wins and remains in operation. The losing system reboots and will not rejoin the cluster under the membership link (heatbeat) is re-established.
SG under HP-UX does permit a a heartbeat via SCSI. Not sure about Linux.

Solution
Yes, this configuration is supported. The MSA500 must have redundant controllers. Otherwise any failure in the MSA500 would bring down the entire cluster.
Redundant paths to the MSA500 are optional.
Only Ethernet is supported for heartbeat. Heartbeat can also be sent over the same LAN connection as is used for application communication. Links for this (application/packages) must be bonded.
I didn't see the term "membership link" in the URL you gave but I only scanned quickly. From the context, a membership link is just a heartbeat link. For Linux we only support ethernet. Neither Linux nor HP-UX support SCSI as a heartbeat link.
