ServiceGuard Version needed for HP-UX 11.0

Within our Company I asked for upgrade prices.
We currently run:
- HP-UX 10.20
- MirrorDisk/UX B.10.20
- MC/ServiceGuard A.10.11
- HP-PB 100Base-T/9000 B.10.20.09
We must upgrade to HP-UX 11.0 due to:
1. Application requirements
2. Problems with our ServiceGuard environment.

I was told that we only need to upgrade HP-UX to 11.0 but that we can keep on using our current versions of MC/ServiceGuard and MirrorDisk/UX.

Can anyone tell me if this is true? I allways thought there was a dedicated version of ServiceGuard for HP-UX 11.0

Thanks for a quick reply (I'm in the middle of a budget-phase).

I think you need to upgrade MC/SG and MirrorDisk as well. We are using UX 11.0 in combination with MC/SG A.11.09, and MirrorDisk B.11.00.

Rob:

There is no fee associated with upgrading from 10.20 to 11.x when you have a support contract. Order the Core OS, ACE, Application CDs and Support Plus patches using your system handle. Go to Maintenance/Support -> Downloads/Licensing -> Software Update Manager to initiate the order.

You can obtain the most current verson of Ignite from the Web site below. For 11.x you want the "B" version.

Re: ServiceGuard Version needed for HP-UX 11.0

provided you have a service contract, you should get automatic updates for the OS, and also MC/SG.

The current supported version of MC/SG is 11.09, with patches PHSS_22540
