SgeSAP 2 package problems
Hi,
I am building a 2 node SgeSAP 2 package R/3 cluster. The SAP CI and the database are in separate packages. I can start both packages successfully together, and access the app ok, on either the primary or standby nodes.
Now I want to split the packages so the CI runs on one node and the DB on the other. But when I start the CI it runs R3trans and cant connect to the database.
This happens fast and I suspect it is not looking for the database on the other node. The standard SgeSAP customisation of SAP profiles etc has been done.
Do I need an oracle listener running on both nodes?
Can anyone advise how the CI and the database communicate?
HPUX 11.11, MCSG 11.16, SGeSAP 4.x, Oracle RDBMS 9.2, R/3 v4.7 WAS v6.2
thanks, Greg

Re: SgeSAP 2 package problems
Seems I'm missing local Oracle client files. I'll try this soon.

Re: SgeSAP 2 package problems
Installed Oracle client files locally on host, as per the instructions for app servers.
