Warning when running cmcheckconf

Greetings,

When I run cmcheckconf, I always get the following warnings:

# cmcheckconf -C /etc/cmcluster/cmclconfig.ascii

Begin cluster verification...
Warning: The disk at /dev/dsk/c2t2d0 on node prcc99 does not have an ID.
Warning: The disk at /dev/dsk/c2t2d0 on node prcc207 does not have an ID.

Verification completed with no errors found.
Use the cmapplyconf command to apply the configuration.

I know that this is not a problem but I would like to know how to prevent it.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Kind Regards,

Rui.

Re: Warning when running cmcheckconf

cmcheckconf has detected your CD/DVD drive and is objecting to the fact that the disk has not been pvcreated.

Just ignore it - I do.

Re: Warning when running cmcheckconf

The cmcheckconf is checking all the disks and verifying whether they are part of any volume group. Since these disks are not part of any volume group, the warning is being issued. You can ignore it. If you want to avoid this error, configure some dummy volume group on these disks, the error should go.

Re: Warning when running cmcheckconf

The last posting is incorrect, as you cannot add any CDROM into a VG.
If the system(s) has a DVD or CD in it's I/O config, you WILL see these messages and there is no way to stop it.
