defunct processes generated by iocdsfd ?
Hi we got some superdomes with XP 24K storage .
I noticed lately :
Some defunct processes , if I search for the PP they are always /usr/sbin/iocdsfd
On all systems
root 7269 7250 1 Apr 8 ? 0:00 <defunct>
root 7250 1 0 Apr 8 ? 211:24 /usr/sbin/iocdsfd
root 18505 7250 0 Sep 6 ? 0:00 <defunct>
root 18551 7250 1 Jun 28 ? 0:00 <defunct>
root 7265 7250 0 Sep 6 ? 0:00 <defunct>
root 366 7250 0 Apr 26 ? 0:00 <defunct>
after reboot starts with one some time later ( a day ) again 4 or 5 .
we uses raidmanager horcm
On other Balde systems with ServiceGuard Cluster 11.20 ( on these we using Host-Base Mirror LVM) but also cluster_dsf we do not have this
Does anyone have an idea??

Re: defunct processes generated by iocdsfd?
What exact HP-UX version and OE are you running?
I wouldn't worry about so few zombies.

Re: defunct processes generated by iocdsfd?
Hi we have installed from sept 2010:
hp-ux 11.31 DCOE.
Serviceguard 11.20 same date
and two patches for cluster_dsf ( phco_42536 + PHSS_41225)
