Re: mutli node package

Multi-node and System Multi-node packages are used with various Serviceguard extensions.

On HP-UX, if you're using Cluster File System (CFS), its installation procedure includes the creation of multi-node packages for the CFS.

On Linux, one use for multi-node packages is when integrating the OCFS2 cluster filesystem with Serviceguard. See the documentation:

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02049383/c02049383.pdf

As far as I know, HP has not documented the general configuration requirements of multi-node packages in any public document. So, if you want your cluster to be supported by HP, then the *only* time you're supposed to make multi-node or system multi-node packages is when the documentation of some Serviceguard extension or toolkit you're installing tells you to do so.

Re: mutli node package

multi node packages are supported even if not in a toolkit. just define the package once and it runs on somemor all of the nodes
