not able to install serviceguard from CD

Hi Guys,

I am not able to innstall serviceguard from CD even though it accepting the codeword and customer_id.
I can see ,ServiceGuard package is there in CD using below command .
swlist -s /cdrom

But when i am trying to install it is asking for codeword and i have provided the same.But i cant see serviceguard in the list if Swinstall.

Could you pls help me.Thanks in advance.

Are you using the command line swinstall or the GUI?
You may want to use the command line.

Do you have /var/adm/sw/.codewords?

Hi Dennis,

Yes i can see /var/adm/sw/.codewords and it has correct data.I am trying to install through command-line.

It would really help if you show the exact command line used. Did you provide the codeword on the command line?

Thanks everyone for your valuable comments.I have installed.I have coped codeword (/var/adm/sw/.codeword) from another system which had serviceguard installed and it worked.

Codewords are tied to the software products listed on the sales order number. If the codeword does not unlock Serviceguard, you will not see it during the swinstall phase. This either means that the codeword excluded Serviceguard by mistake or it was not on the sale order. If Serviceguard was on the sales order, submit a request to http://licensing.hp.com/ to generate a new codeword given your sales order number. If it was not purchased, it's time to talk to your ordering department.
