oracle startup

hi all

we have a 2 node serviceguard cluster (tclass n vclass). the t works fine on itself n when fails over to v. v works fine on itself but has errors when oracle starts on failover to t.
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: gethrtime (code) from instancename. any help would be appreciated.

thx in advance

Re: oracle startup

Look at patches between the machine it works on and does not work on. Do you have the same patches Oracle recommends on both systems?

In addition, the following patches may be involved:
PHCO_27731 s700_800 11.00 libc cumulative patch
PHCO_26111 s700_800 11.00 libc cumulative header file patch

Re: oracle startup

thx for the reply,
one more question from oracle regarding this issue. since the v(64bit) is coming over to a t(32bit)could this be a cause (we are running the oracle at 32bit). also one more question
if the oracle homes are on different mount points on the 2 machines, should the vclass coming over use its old mount point or use the tclass mount point its going on.

sorry for all the questions, again thx

Re: oracle startup

The t's are on 10.20 right, so it's not just a question of bitness. More like threads support in the OS.

It works for me (tm)
