Just announced: New additions to HPE Reference Architecture portfolio

HPE Reference Architectures capture best practices and provide detailed configuration, sizing, Bill of Material, and deployment details that help guide solution design for enabling a business outcome for customers. HPE RAs help quickly deliver solutions in a repeatable manner to our customers which allows us to keep the focus on the solution, and not just on hardware or software.

Announced at HPE Discover London today, HPE is introducing new additions to our Reference Architecture portfolio. Below, find a list of some of our newest Reference Architectures:

HPE Synergy for collaboration and databases
HPE Composable Infrastructure lets you provision and scale resources with unprecedented agility. This new architecture lowers operating costs and increases operational velocity. One that powers innovation and value creation for the new breed of applications while more efficiently running traditional workloads. HPE Synergy is the first platform built from the ground up for this purpose. The composable infrastructure of the HPE Synergy improves performance and service delivery, with higher memory density, more flexible storage, and the ability to provision and scale compute, storage, and networks on demand.

HPE Reference Configuration for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 on HPE Synergy
Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 calls for increased local storage and management flexibility along with reliability and security. HPE Reference Configuration for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 on HPE Synergy gives you the flexibility to provision the local storage and easy scalability you require, along with the performance and availability users demand.

HPE Reference Architecture for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 on HPE BladeSystem with ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Servers
Deploying Exchange Server 2013 on the most recent HPE ProLiant Gen9 blade servers can help reduce the number of servers required along with networking, power, and administrative costs. HPE has tested deploying Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 on HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Server blades in an HPE BladeSystem c7000 enclosure with direct attached storage (DAS) and HPE D6000 disk enclosures, offering performance improvements over previous generation servers.

HPE Reference Architecture for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 on HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 SFF Server
The HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 SFF Server offers revolutionary storage density in a 2U form factor. If you are running data-intensive Exchange workloads on general-purpose servers, the HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 SFF Server allows you to save valuable data center space through its unique, density-optimized 2U form factor, which holds up to 50 SFF hot-plug drives, for up to 100 TB of direct attached storage per server, and 200 TB per 42U rack.

HPE Reference Architecture for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 on HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 LFF Server
The HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 LFF Server is a density-optimized 2U server storage solution designed to integrate seamlessly into traditional data centers with the same rack dimensions, cabling, serviceability, and administrative procedures and tools. It offers up to 224 TB of direct attached storage per server and 4.48 petabyte storage capacity per rack2—ideal for Exchange deployments.

HPE Reference Architecture for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 on HPE Apollo 4510 System
The HPE Apollo 4510 System provides a balanced architecture built to deal with the challenges of balancing compute and storage capacity. This one-server, 4U system provides a density-optimized, power-efficient chassis with cost-effective, space-saving storage capacity of up to 544 TB per system and 5.44 PB per 42U rack.3 HPE ProLiant Gen9 server, processor, memory, and I/O options let you meet the storage capacity, throughput, and responsiveness requirements of Exchange 2013 with the right compute at the right price.

HPE Reference Architecture for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 on HPE Apollo 4530 System
The density-optimized, power-efficient HPE Apollo 4500 System is built to deal with the petabyte-scale data requirements of large enterprise Exchange deployments. The three server, 4U chassis system comes with up to three two-processor HPE ProLiant Gen9 servers, each with up to 15 hot-plug SAS or SATA hard disk drives (HDDs)/solid-state drives (SSDs). Each server has up to 120 TBs of capacity—providing economical building blocks for efficient implementations at scale with up to 30 servers and 3.6 petabytes of capacity in a 42U rack.

Optimize Dev/Ops with Docker and HPE BladeSystem Reference Guide
This reference guide is based on an actual Hewlett Packard Enterprise case study, and leverages Docker containers running on top of bare metal HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Server blades. It provides recommendations for developing and building large‑scale software applications in a highly resource‑efficient and scalable manner.

The Docker and HPE Converged Architecture 700 with HPE Helion CloudSystem Reference Architecture (available January 2016) simplifies the process of creating hybrid cloud infrastructures and deploying a mix of native and container applications.
