New HPE Synergy drives higher degree of productivity and agility in your datacenter
Neil MacDonald, VP of HPE BladeSystem & Synergy, met with theCUBE at Discover London for a lively discussion about the big HPE Synergy announcement. HPE Synergy is the industryโs first infrastructure built from the ground up for composability, consisting of fluid resource pools of compute, storage and flexible fabricโall defined by intelligent software and controlled by a unified API.
In the interview, MacDonald discusses how HPE Synergy helps solve some of todayโs most pressing data center challenges and where it fits within a new class of Composable Infrastructure .MacDonald explains that most customers are facing the challenge of balancing the needs of a traditional IT infrastructure that implements business processes with the new IT applications that will generate revenue and improve margins. โThereโs huge pressure on IT from the lines of business to be able to deliver infrastructure and services much more rapidly,โ explains MacDonald.
โThe cool thing about HPE Synergy is the ability to get one infrastructure that can meet a whole range of needs,โ says MacDonald.
MacDonald explained that instead of working through a long procurement and deployment process, organizations need to be more agile. But for the enterprise, a public cloud means more issues, such as data governance, security, compliance and cost management. โHPE Synergy allows IT to be able to provide deployment at cloud-like speed, which enables developers to be more productive, and the business can deploy apps much more rapidly,โ explains MacDonald. All of which is key to successfully deliver Hybrid Infrastructure.
