Simplicity: the driving force behind the latest hyperconverged solution

In this short interview with Jake Ludington at HPE Discover Vegas 2016 in June, Paul Durzan, VP Product Management, HPE Converged Data Center Infrastructure, talks about the simplicity of the recently announced HPE Hyper Converged 380 (HC380).

Built on the world’s best-selling server, HPE ProLiant DL380, the HPE HC380 powered by Intel® is a new hyperconverged solution that delivers simplicity and agility to customer datacenters. As Durzan explains, “With the HPE Hyper Converged 380, we’ve taken a new approach to hyperconvergence. We wanted to focus on being as simple as possible, creating a really simple user experience.”

The HPE HC380 drives simplicity with a consumer-inspired user interface that has the ability to run on any browser on your desktop or from an app on your smart phone (search iTunes to download the app for a demo!)

In addition, users can now update the firmware for their virtual cluster without ever leaving the hyperconverged experience. “With 3 clicks you can update the underlying infrastructure of your virtual cluster,” Durzan explains.

The simplicity of the new HPE Hyper Converged 380 allows businesses to respond faster to changing needs--deploy VMs in just 5 clicks and get instant diagnostics and analytics on demand. “We’ve made what we call ‘VM vending’ as simple as possible. The end users can now go in and with the click of a button, order the VM they need for their environment.”
