Spend less time searching and more time working!

Have you ever considered how much time you spend going through files to get your work done? According to a report from McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm, a typical employee spends on average 1.8 hours every day—9.3 hours per week,—searching and gathering information [1]. That’s a lot of time! I know I spend a lot of time searching Outlook (thank goodness for those search features.)

Wasting time searching for emails pales in comparison to the time a IT administrator can spend creating new virtual machines or updating systems may be minimal, as he will probably have to spend more time searching and confirming the task he has done to ensure nothing will or has gone wrong. Now consider an IT generalist who has to manage several remote sites.

The HPE Hyper Converged 380powered by Intel, not only makes management and monitoring easy, it also provides users with the information to do their day-to-day task through the activity tab and search features.

The HPE Hyper Converged 380 Management User Interface (UI) activity tab contains information such as events or alarms. Events include user actions and system actions that occur in datacenters and on clusters, hosts, virtual machines and networks. For example, an event can include powering a virtual machine on or off or creating a virtual machine. Similarly, alarms such as “CPU usage changes from gray to red” are also listed to notify the user, so that necessary steps can be taken to bring CPU usage back to normal state.

HPE Hyper Converged 380 Management User Interface makes searching for information, such as virtual machine, specific activity, utilization, image or a size, easy through the use of filters and predictive word search.

Using the activity tab with the search feature, you can now see all the work you’ve done and search faster with the HPE Hyper Converged 380 Management User Interface.
