The results are in! HPE wins SIX world records on newest benchmark




The HPE Synergy 680 Gen9 Compute Module and the HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen9 Server together captured six #1 4P records in both max-jOPS and critical-jOPs in all three categories of the SPECjbb2015 benchmark1. These results demonstrate HPE’s superior performance capabilities running point-of-sale, online purchasing, and data mining applications in Java environments.

The HPE servers were configured with four Intel® Xeon® E7-8894 processors. The records were obtained with either SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 or Red Hat Enterprise Linus 7.3 operating systems.

 Benchmark results

Composite -- #1 4P max-jOPS and critical-jOPS

HPE Synergy 680 Gen9 and HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen9 both tied for the #1 world record in 4P max-jOPS, composite category. And HPE Synergy 680 Gen9 won the #1 performance position in 4P critical-jOPS in the same category.

Distributed -- #1 4P max-jOPS and critical-jOPS

HPE Synergy 680 Gen9 also won the world record in the SPECjbb2015 distributed category -- #1 4P max-jOPS and #1 4P critical-jOPS. HPE Synergy 680 Gen9 defeated the Lenovo System x3850 X6 in this category using the same Intel® Xeon® E7-8894 processors.

MultiJVM -- #1 4P max-jOPS and critical-jOPS

In the SPECjbb2015 MultiJVM category, the HPE Synergy 680 Gen9 Compute Module and the HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen9 Server again tied with the world record for #1 4P max-jOPS. In addition, HPE Synergy 680 Gen9 achieved #1 4P critical-jOPS in this category.
