Adding a flow to Hardware Table(100)
Hi,
I am trying to program flows onto HP 2920 switch. I want to specifically use the hardware TCAM table of the switch for packet processing. I use floodlight controller to add a flow, with Table id set to 100.
I am able to add flows which deny the packet. However, I get a feedback of no permission/Bad action if I try output action to be to forward to some port.
Is the policy hardware table supposed to contain only deny actions? or Is there a way for it accept all forwarding flows.
Thanks,
Pravein.

Re: Adding a flow to Hardware Table(100)
Hi Pravein,
Whether a flow can be processed in the hardware table or not depends on a few factors. Could you please post what software version the switch is running and the flow mod (preferably text or packet capture of it being send to the switch by ODL)? Thanks!
Best regards,
Wouter
