Hello,
After a problem with my HP VAN Controller 2.3.5 (no possible to start it again), the only solution for me was to resinstall it.
The problem is that I couldn't unsinstall my licence.
I try now to use again my licence key to ractivate the licence on my contoller but I have the following error:
curl -sk -H "X-Auth-Token:7dda0b0ce02c440d85b259dcdb8f9bdb" --data-ascii AEEHQ7ILAJNQK-NJTFY6S2NBTOB-6VM4QKEQ5HYEJ-3AY4QELRPGYEA https://localhost:8443/sdn/v2.0/licenses
{"error":"java.lang.IllegalArgumentException","message":"ERROR: install id mismatch."}
I suppose that my licence key is allways linked to my previous installation.
How can I do to recover it ?
Regards,
Serge

SolutionHello Serge,
As per SDN Controller 2.3 installation guide-
page 10 [2.3 Installing or upgrading the controller] -
“Installed controller licenses, applications, and application licenses are preserved across an upgrade of an installed controller.”
And page 17[Migrating the controller to another machine] -
“CAUTION: Uninstalling either an application or the controller also erases any related licenses. For this reason, before you uninstall an application or the controller, you must first properly uninstall
the related licenses so that they can be reinstalled on another machine.”
Also you can see Managing licenses [page 59] from Admin guide.
At page 109 from Admin guide, under Support and other resources you can see “how to contact HP”.
Please let us know if this helps or still you face some issue.
Thanks,
HP SDN Team
