VAN SDN 2.5.15 INSTALL
Good Morning:
I am a student of electrical engineering and am currently studying on the SDN, I had problems with the driver installation:
From the Ubuntu operating system in the terminal window I perform the following steps:
1- Release the zip file
2-Change the terminal window to the location of the zip file
3- unzip hp-van-sdn-ctlr-2.5.15-x64.zip
5- sudo dpkg --unpack hp-sdn-ctl_2.5.15.1175_amd64.deb
5- sudo apt-get install -f
6-sudo / opt / SDN / admin / config_local_keystone
7- start sudo service SDNC
8-sudo service status SDNC
SDNC start / running, process 930
9- netstat -an | grep 8443
tcp6 0 0 ::: 8443 :::
10- ifconfig
11- https: //x.x.x.x: 8443 / SDN / ui /
Username: SDN
Password: skyline
But I failed to display the work

Re: VAN SDN 2.5.15 INSTALL
Eli,
Would you provide us with more information about your issue:
1. screenshot of the problem you are experiencing.
2. logs of the controller
3. have you tried to uninstall and install the controller
4. Brownser name and version
5. Ubuntu Release version. Make sure you are running 12.04
But just based on the information you provided it seems you are using the wrong version of Ubuntu.
Best Regards,
Carlos

Re: VAN SDN 2.5.15 INSTALL
I'm having a similar problem and need some help with this please.
system Running:
SDNController:~$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS
Release: 12.04
Codename: precise
after installing the controller, i couldn't login via web service because of an certificate error (tried it with Chrome and Firefox):
"hp van sdn controller ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH"
and after correcting it, and as shown below the installation went ok, i still cant login. I dont even see the port 8443 open
SDNController:~$ sudo dpkg -l hp-sdn-ctl

i find it a bit confusing to check the logs and problems that come along the installation, here is another output, to be honest im not sure i understand the binding (por 9160), as i didnt read the controller architecture.
