Connect HP C7000 with IBM HS12 Blade Center
Hello,
i´ve to connect the fibre channel switches from a HP C7000 with them of the IBM HS21.
On the C7000 are two Brocade 4/12 SAN Switches with the Firmware 6.2.2f and the "Fabric License" installed.
On the IBM HS21 are two QLogic(R) 20-port 4Gb SAN Switch with the Firmware V6.5.0.17.0 and the "Full Fabric License" installed.
Now I need to connect these two Switches, so that the HP Blades can access to a Storage witch is connected on the QLogic FC-Switches.
Has anyone had the same challenge??
Thanks for your helps

Re: Connect HP C7000 with IBM HS12 Blade Center
Hi!
As the brocade switches in newer versions don't like to merge with non-brocade switches, your options are:
* set Brocade switch to Access Gateway mode and do all fabric management from QLogic Switch.
* set QLogic switch to Transparent Mode and do all fabric management from the Brocade switches)
You'll need to manually move the zones to the switch you'll use to manage the fabric.
