Extend D2700 with P2000 G3

Hi all,

I have a question regarding the D2700 Enclosure and the P2000 G3 Controller.

Is it possible to use the D2700 at first directly connect to a host (server) and in few months add the D2700 to a P2000 G3 FC/iSCSI Controller and connect the host to the P2000 G3?

Will the exisiting data on the D2700 be lost, for example because the P2000 G3 initializes the D2700 disks?

Hi,

The D2700 disks are handled by the smart array storage controller in the server, while if it's connected behind a P2000 it's the controllers in the P2000 that's doing the work. 

I doubt there's a conversion available for this.
