HP MSA2312fc replace defect controller (dual-controller setup) with 2nd hand controller
We have a HP MSA2312fc setup, with two controllers. Controller A is malfunctioning. Since the MSA is out of warranty, we've bought a 2nd hand controller (AJ798A) from Ebay.
We do not know whether this 'new' controller still has a previous configuration on it. We certainly do not want a previous configuration to overwrite the configuration of our controller B, obviously.
I have two questions:
- Is there a possibility that the configuration of our 'new' controller will overwrite the configuration of our current active controller (B)?
- How can we flush the configuration of the 'new' controller? We don't have a spare MSA laying around..
Thanks in advance!

Re: HP MSA2312fc replace defect controller (dual-controller setup) with 2nd hand controller
Configuration is saved in hard disk drives. Hence, there should not be issue of replacing with a used controller. But, replacement controller should have same spare part number.
