P2000 G3 Connected to itself

Hello forum

I am setting up a new Hyper-V cluster for a customer. He already has two P2000 G3s, but he claims he is only using one of them. The plan is to use the other P2000 for the new cluster.

However, when I look at "Hosts Overview" in the Web UI, I can see that it is connected to itself (it has its own iqn address listed under hosts).

I don't understand why it would be configured like that, and I am afraid to break something if I remove it.

I don't have much experience with the P2000 and I will be very grateful to anyone that can enlighten me and help me understand this setup.

Thanks in advance.

Controller A can see controller B and vice versa. Don't worry, you can't remove it anyway.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Thanks for your reply.

The host mappings disappeared after I installed the latest firmware bundle. Now I feel confident that the SAN is really not in use.
