Shutdown MSA2012fc while vdisk expand?

Hi!

 

A customer bought some new disks for his MSA2012fc and ist expanding a RAID5 vdisk. This takes a lot of time and will probably last about a week...

 

On saturday the whole machine should be shut down, because of work on current there. Can this be done while the vdisk is still expanding?

It can, as long as the controllers are shutdown properly.  The expansion operation should pick up where it left off prior to the shutdown.
