do we need to restart SAN switch as we change networking connection to it?

We need to make the change on network switch to the brocade SAN switch. All settings, including IP address will be all the same. Does that require to reboot the SAN switch? or is there any command I need to run on SAN switch to pick up the connection?

No. IMHO you just need to unplug/plug the cable.
