problem with updating firmware for P2000
Hello, All!
In our company there are 4 enclosures HP P2000 G3 FC. Resently we hustled to the problem, when we tried to update hard disk’s firmware. Some of them (Hard disks) are from different series (models). For example in one enclosure one half of hdd it’s HITACHI HUA721010KLA330, another is HUA722010СLA330. Also, there are hdd from series HUA722010KLA330.
The problem is that we can’t find latest firmware on the HP sites.
For example, one link for firmware: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=5111376&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4064, but this firmware is not suitable for our hdd (it’s for other series of hdd). And, also, it’s quite old – 2010 year.
Following recommendations from one forum, I was looking for firmware by hdd series (not by P2000). But found nothing. Maybe I should use website like HP Spock (http://h20272.www2.hp.com)?
And I have one more question: how will the firmware update, if even in one enclosure there are hdd with different series.
I shall appreciate your cooperation in this matter and I’m waiting your reply as soon as possible!
Thanking you in advanced.

Re: problem with updating firmware for P2000
Can you select such disk in SMU (web page) and provide a screenshot, so disk model, firmware and part# are visible?
Sure you got these drives from HP?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: problem with updating firmware for P2000
Hello, Torsten!
Thank you for helping with our problem.
Maybe it’s better to attach store.logs file?
P.S. You will see icons “error” near enclosures on the screenshots. It’s another problem with power unit. We’ve permanently removed some PSU.

Re: problem with updating firmware for P2000
Yes, you can try to attach the logs.
However, usually if there is no firmware update avaiable for a HDD, there is none and drives still have the original version.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
