8GB SAN Switch. No access to swCpuUsage and swMemUsage by snmp
Hello everyone!
I'm trying to read values at swCpuUsage ( 1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.26.1 ) swMemUsage( 1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.26.6 ). but cannot get any values.
SNMP up and running, since snmpwalk returns uptime and any other variables. (and snmpwalk shows very long list of returned values), but none of above.
Support of SW-MIB is ON
swd78:admin> snmpConfig --show mibCapability
FE-MIB: YES
SW-MIB: YES
FA-MIB: YES
FICON-MIB: YES
HA-MIB: YES
FCIP-MIB: YES
ISCSI-MIB: YES
IF-MIB: YES
BD-MIB: YES
SW-TRAP: YES
snmpwalk -Cpi -v 2c -c public brocade_addr_here 1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.26.1
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1588.2.1.1.1.26.1 = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID
Variables found: 1
snmpwalk -Cpi -v 2c -c public brocade_addr_here 1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.26.6
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1588.2.1.1.1.26.6 = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID
Variables found: 1
Firmware version is 6.3.4d
P.S. If you can read these values, please check do you have Fabric Watch license installed?
There is available upgrade to v7.0.1, does this version requires license keys upgrade also?

Re: 8GB SAN Switch. No access to swCpuUsage and swMemUsage by snmp
Hi,
on an HP 4/16c with FOS 6.2.2e (FW licensed):
it gives the same errors as you have.
FICON, HA, FCIP, ISCSI-MIBs are disabled btw, rest are enabled.
On an HP 8/40 with 6.4.2b (FW licensed):
$ snmpwalk -Cpi -v 2c -c publicc brocadeaddr 1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.26.6
SW-MIB::sw.26.6 = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID
SW-MIB::sw.26.6.0 = INTEGER: 41
Variables found: 2
$ snmpwalk -Cpi -v 2c -c publicc brocadeaddr 1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.26.1
SW-MIB::sw.26.1 = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID
SW-MIB::sw.26.1.0 = INTEGER: 9
Variables found: 2
To upgrade to 7.x you can upgrade directly - this is however disruptive, so if you don't want ports to go offline during upgrade upgrade to 6.4.x first.
Licenses do not have to be upgraded. Probably wise to record which ones you have before upgrading though.
Has licenses ever had to be upgraded?
