EVA and Zoning problem
EVA6400 and HP 4/24 SAN switch
I've cabled 2 host ports of each controller to the switches and enabled the switch ports.
In Port Admin i see the EVA WWN but cannot see the WWN in Zone Admin to create an Alias.
I've hardzoned the ports to an alias and it works but this is not a solution.
Can anyone suggest anything to try?
thanks

Re: EVA and Zoning problem
I have never seen this before - maybe a switch related (firmware) problem?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: EVA and Zoning problem
FYI - More correct way to state is you used "port based zoning", as WWN zoning is also "hard zoning" (meaning using the ASIC rather than the name server, i.e secure)
Glad you "self resolved" you issue.
Cheers,
Curt
