HSV200 Enclosure Blower

Hello all, One blower of my HSV200 enclosure disk3 has stoped. Below is the error message: "Event Code: 0d4b8211 Severity: Critical -- failure or failure imminent. A drive enclosure blower is improperly installed or missing. This affects the drive enclosure air flow and can cause an over temperature condition."

Please, I want to find out if the blower is faulty and needs replacement by the event log message above. If yes, can someone confirm if this is the replacement part number 12-10008-01. Thank you in advance. Theo

Hi Theo,

Please confirm the XCS/Firmware code also of the EVA as in one of the code it was a bug.

But to be sure about failure you can find the status of it by looking it physically or led status.

12-10008-01 is part number but not spare part number. HP needs spare part number to order the part.

If you have support contract with HP then just tell your issue to them, they will order the part.

Thank for you help. Yes the LED behind the blower is off. The hp spare part number is 123482-001.

Hi Theo,

If the Led is off then pls check do you see fan movement or not. Because sometime it can be power supply failure also and blower remain in good status.

As per the event details it seems to be Blower failure only. Sometimes refixing the same will help.

Regarding the known issue, yes there is some issues with Blowers, it will indicate as a Failure once power is loss for some time and came back after sometime.

If refixing will not help, then we need to replace the blower.
