MSA P2000 G3 with SSD

Hi all

After downloading the nearly the hole internet I still have no answer about the usage of SSD in a MSA P2000 G3.

(No, google was not helpful)

- are SSD working or not, and if not, what are the technical reasons for this limitations?

I know, HP as larger Subsystems with support for SSD's or the brand new Generation of MSA devices. However, the P2000 G3 are only 2 years old, new subsystem are out of question.

Thank you for your support!

Greetings

Stefan

Hi,

http://www8.hp.com/us/en/products/disk-storage/product-detail.html?oid=4118559#!tab=specs

no SSDs listed in the quickspecs.

It's probably because one or two SSD would max out the controllers..

Re: MSA P2000 G3 with SSD

No SSD in the quickspecs of the P2000 G3, but in the specs of the MSA2040:

Controller upgrade should be possible:

"... Owners of a P2000 G3 array are able to do data-in-place controller upgrades to the new MSA 2040 array...."

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
