Max lun sizes for MSA2000 and EVA.
Im confused and need some help determining the max size of a LUN for both of the storage units MSA2000fc and EVA8100. Am I correct in saying that the max supported LUN size is:
EVA8100 2Tb
MSA200fc 16TB
I need to create a 5TB LUN for Windows 2008 Server that will hold alot of images.
EVA8100 2Tb
MSA200fc 16TB

Re: Max lun sizes for MSA2000 and EVA.
All EVA models older than the last ones (EVA4400/6400/8400) have a maximum vdisk size of 2047 GB. The new models with latest firmware can create LUNs up to 32 TB.
If you want 5 TB in a single volume you'll need to create 3 vdisks and use them as dynamic disks.

The EVA8100 max LUN size is 2047 (2TB). As stated, newer eva's with newer firmware allow larger LUN sizes.
