Re: DataCollection information for each OS type using Agentless and Agentbased discovery

Hello Hari,

For the Agentless Discovery, the commands that are run are listed within the SOM 10.10 Users Guide.
https://softwaresupport.hpe.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/KM02058178

Root or Sudo Users:

  • Linux - P. 175-179
  • Solaris - P. 179-181
  • HP-UX - P. 181-183
  • AIX - P. 183
  • Windows P. 192-193

Non-root Users:

  • Linux - P. 183-186
  • Solaris - P. 186-187
  • AIX - P. 187-189

When CIM Extensions are installed, this equivalent information is obtained as a root/administrator user.

However, all of this is controlled by the "Data Collection Control" Collection Level settings.  By default, not all information is collected unless the "Data Collection Control" is set to "All" or that specific provider does not have an entry within the "Data Collection Control" window.

I hope that this helps answer your question.

Regards,

Mark
