(SOM) Support Tip: Operations Bridge Reporter Based Analytics in HPE Storage Operations Manager

Hello SOM Community,

There is a new White Paper published on the HPE Software Support Online (SSO) Portal.

KM02336124 - Operations Bridge Reporter Based Analytics in HPE Storage Operations Manager
https://softwaresupport.hpe.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/KM02336124

HPE Storage Operations Manager (SOM) populates dashboards that forecast the number of days to threshold (DTT) values for the capacity utilization of storage systems and storage pools. The Storage System DTT Analytics, Storage Pools DTT Analytics and Storage Systems Unused Volumes Analytics dashboards are available with the data obtained from the HPE Operations Bridge Reporter (OBR) integration. Therefore it is required to establish connections between the HPE Storage Operations Manager (Management Server) and HPE Operations Bridge Reporter (Reporting Server).

Note: HPE Operations Bridge Reporter (OBR) was formerly known as HP Service Health Reporter (SHR).

The following dashboards are populated with data that is processed by the HPE Operations Bridge Reporter (Reporting Server):

  • Storage Systems DDT Analytics
  • Storage Pools DDT Analytics
  • Storage Systems Unused Volumes Analytics

The purpose of this document is to help provide configuration steps for establishing the connections between HPE Storage Operations Manager and HPE Operations Bridge Reporter to see data populated in the OBR based Analytics dashboards. The document also provides the troubleshooting steps for the Analytics dashboards.

I hope that this information is helpful.  Good Luck with your environments.

Another Support Tip will be provided soon!

Regards,

Mark
