Unable to Map HPEVA in SE 9.4.1

Hi,

Had a look around this board but can't find anyone else with the same problem so any assistance will be much appreciated.

I have just completed a clean install of 9.4.0 and then patched up to 9.4.1.

I am at the Discovery > Setup stage.

SE has discovered my switches all OK via SMI agent on Brocade,  but when I try to discover my EVA arrays, 2x8400, 2x6400 & 2x8100 via my Command View 10.1 server I just get the below?.. Any ideas anyone? I am guessing some kind of CIM extension but not sure?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Unable to Map HPEVA in SE 9.4.1

Hello,

You may want to go and further update SE to the moset recent version, 9.5.1 and afterwards apply the 9.5.1 patch.  This should fix your problem.  If not, open up a Suport Case and someone should be able to help.

Re: Unable to Map HPEVA in SE 9.4.1

Please download both 9.5.0 SP1 aka 9.5.1 (SESRM_00015.zip) which is applied both to SE and Reporter. And also SE 9.5.1 CPE P01 (SESRM_00016.zip) which is applied to SE only.

You can download both from SSO: http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/patches

To find SP1, search using “storage essentials srm” version 9.5.0

To find CPE P01, search using “storage essentials srm” version 9.5.1

Re: Unable to Map HPEVA in SE 9.4.1

OK, well I tried the upgrade to 9.5.0 but have run into an odd problem.

When I start the install wizard it goes throught the first steps OK,

SCAN finds all my 9.4.1 components and completes OK

However when I Click NEXT to continue the install the system seems to hang for about 3 mins and then the following message box is displayed..

"Administrators's password is not correct!"

Any ideas?  I can logon to SE 9.4.1 all OK with the Administrtor creds :-/

Thanks in advance,

Miles.

Re: Unable to Map HPEVA in SE 9.4.1

Hmmmm. should work.

You could try changing the password of the SE admin account to its default which is  "password" and try from there.

If still a problem, open up a support call with HP Storage Essentials Team.

Re: Unable to Map HPEVA in SE 9.4.1

Yep, the upgrade to 9.5.1 sorted the issue in the end. I guess Command View 10.1 was to new for any version below 9.5.1

Thanks for the input.
