I can not use HP SSSU to connect to EVA4000

I am using a Windows 2003 Server as a EVA4000 SAN Manager. I try the following command in SSSU :

>select manager ipaddress_of_windows2003server USERNAME=administrator PASSWORD=administrator
>ls system

It displays error as follows :

Error: EMClientAPITNG error ->
EMCLIENTAPI_PERMISSIONDENIED_ERROR : Invalid username or password.
.......
SSSU for HP StorageWorks Command View EVA 4.00 [v4.0.18]

Any advise ?

Fill in-

ipaddress_of_windows2003server - ip address of SMA.
PASSWORD=puch in password of SMA

From the looks of it, you may not have an SMA, just a stand alone "SMS" (Storage Management Server)

What version of the Insight Manager Agents are you running? Is this a Proliant box?

You may need to reset the Element Manager password if you are unsure of what it is. Sometimes it is NOT the same as the local administrator.

You can try...

Open a Command Prompt and navigate to c:\Program files\Hewlett-Packard\SANworks\Element Manager for StorageWorks HSV\bin

run "elmsetup -pA: -f"

Replace with your admin password and restart the Command View Service.
