SSSU & Command View EVA 6.0.2 Login error

Login from SSSU or HPCC to EVA doesn't work.
In SSSU i get error "Error opening https connection". In the log file it says "05/09/07 20:01:43 - 6144737, net, 2972, 2276, 2, httpclient, 372, post: https://10.46.48.57:2372/command_view_eva/xmlintr

05/09/07 20:01:43 - 6144762, net, 2972, 2276, 2, secsocket_ossl, 288, closing connection"

I have verifed that user account is in HP Storage Admin group and the account can login in to Command View EVA.

Thankss for any help.

Re: SSSU & Command View EVA 6.0.2 Login error

Check the local security policy on the windows server. If the user or group aren't part of the "Access this computer from the network" policy, the SSSU login from a remote system will fail.

From the Windows server, start -> run -> %SystemRoot%\system32\secpol.msc /s

From local security settings, Local Policies -> User Rights Assignment -> open up "Access this computer from the network"

If your user or the HP Storage Admins / Users group isn't part of this policy, add them and test out SSSU again.

It is still a Windows host. Have you tried stopping and restarting the "HP Command View EVA" service? I have seen behavior that made no sense clear up after bouncing the service. Or even rebooting the entire platform.

Hi Ols,
I don't know what OS you are running, however a friend of mine had a similar problem running sssu scripts from batch queues. The SSSU scripts needed to login to the SMA and started to give errors after upgrading to V6.x

He was able to resolve it by placing the login and SSSU commands into a file, say "Commands.Txt" containing;

select manager User= Password=
select cell
: : :

: : :
exit

and then pass this to the EVA through SSSU with;

sssu "file Commands.Txt"

I don't know why this should work, but it did for him.

The OS is Windows 2003 Sp2. I have tried useing a script file also.

No difference

Re: SSSU & Command View EVA 6.0.2 Login error

If you run SSSU from the Windows 2003 server, does the login succeed? If it does, then it's either a firewall or windows security policy.

Test it out and let us know.

I have trouble also with webes. The EVA doesn't show up in the webes gui. And also the HPCC don't work.

Ols, Windows SP2 is not listed as supported for a managment server - only SP1. Maybe this is related to your issue.
