sssu v6.0 and connection error with https
I have posted the same question on tru64 managers list.
sssu vers 6.0 on Tru64 5.1a PK6 (ES45)
EVA5000
EVA Command View 6.0.0.193
SMA software is 2.1
SAN Appliance running Windows 2000 sp4
Good day System Managers,
Attempts to use sssu from the Tru64 box fail with the error message:
Error establishing https connection.
After much googling we have tried the following:
1 Ensured that the administrator account was a member of the HP Storage Admins Group (it was)
2 Ensured that we are using the proper password (we were – the process works fine if we are local to the SAN appliance).
3 Created a 2nd administrator account and named it ssuadmin – same result.
Ensured that we could ping between the two boxes properly.
4 Removed the network switch as a possible source of problem by performing a direct connect with a crossover cable.
5 We also installed OpenSSL on the Tru64 box.
None of the above resolved our problem. There is ample evidence that others have had the same problem but none of their fixes worked for me. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
John Farmer
