1200s - Upgrade to R2

We have a 1200s with Windows Storage Server 2003 SP1. Can it be upgraded to Windows Server 2003 R2?

according R2 releases notes only 1500S is eligible to upgrade

Any idea why it is not updatable? The nas is still listed as a supported device.

Will the 1500s upgrade work on the 1200s?

well i dont know
since upgrade to R2 for 1500S is full quickretore , may be it should work, but this is better to ask to HP representative
since there are not listed as eligible

Hi Guys,
1. The 1500s upgrade will not work for the 1200s

2. HP made a cutoff on older products, trying to limit the testing matrix for support.

It may be possible to get HP to assist you with upgrading the 1200s but you will need to start a "Deal Exception". Contact your HP representative or HP support for information.
