3in1 NAS Docking station - Firmware upgrade is not succesful

Tried to update my nas (actual version F.05) to version 1.01 (2 Nov 2006)/ SP sp34083.exe
There is no error, but the update is not successful.
Still have version F.05
(I followed all the steps in the updatenas.txt file)

Can someone help me?

f.o5 is your computers bios , not the nas . if you followed instructions your nas is updated to latest firmware

the 101 has a build date of nov 2006

and nothing listed as prior to that so f.05 must be latest

i'm going to try the update once more tommorrow, i think i forgot the 2nd browse upgrsde >open trx file ,
i did the first browse to .nas file , but not 2nd .

I did run the trx as well but I can't see any difference.

Except I can now see my pool which was not mounted before the update.

Same here, still the previous version after trying to) upgrade...

has anybody done the upgrade and see the firmware number change to 1.01 from f-05 ? i've done the upgrade twice all times the browser shows time to complete , completes then i shut down and restart NAS and no change in firmware number !
if anybody was successful please let me know how you did it

No success here.

But as long as there are other users reading here I'd like to address another issues with my NAS: Quite often the fans inside start to spin and make a loud noise. This happens regardless if is there is an laptop docked in or not. There is also definitely no access through the network so I've to pull the plug to silent it down. Is there any workaround to stop this annoying behavior?

tha fan should not make a loud noise , just how loud is it ? do you have the drive running akll the time or do you have it shut down after a set time of no use ? that is controled through disk management in nas .
does your nas have an ip address ? was it connected to a router when you first started it ?
