Attaching MSA20 to DL100

Attaching MSA20 to DL100

I am trying to attach a "new" MSA20 with 12x250Gb
SATA drives to a DL100.

The DL100 has a 642 scsi adapter.

The DL100 see's the new array and the two
logical drives in it, but I cant seem to
get them "mounted"

I am a linux user normally and usually with windows things it just happens.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Re: Attaching MSA20 to DL100

Sounds like you are a Linux user and now have to set up a Windows system? It is not that different as you have to prepare the disk before it can get 'mounted'.

I guess you see the two logical disks in the device manager and you should see them in the "Disk Management", too. Windows should ask whether you want to 'initialize' the disk (writing a signature into the MBR). Let Windows do that and then create a partition and filesystem. Don't forget to assign a drive letter.
